Our lack of discipline is t he issue that causes our disappointments, our frustrations, and ALL of our “issues”. You can’t take the “lack of discipline” out of the equation (the equation is the reality of the discord, pain, disappointment, frustration, and all ugliness). Please read the word below, and lets start seeing our part in these matters… The real question is, “have you read and studied the ‘Originator vs Responders’ parts 1, 2 and 3?” Really, I mean what I am asking… Have you read them? First, lets put this into perspective. The 3 documents I refer to (Originators vs Responders Parts 1 to 3) are required reading for all staff of ZES (Staff Mentor Program). It is also required to train up the Trimester 3 students to know, understand, and to demonstrate the living awareness of the Originators vs Responders. In essence, not only are we to be experts in the information presented in the Originators vs Responders, we are supposed to ensure that ALL ZES Trimester 1 students become experts in the matter. We are supposed to ensure that the families are reading, studying, and applying the knowledge of these truths… The Originators vs Responders are the foundation of the ZES Program. Now, stop and look… look deep. If you have not read these documents it means that you are not teaching them, nor are you living by them. You are required to read, study, and teach them… and you have collected your paychecks each month…. but the lack of discipline of choosing to not read these documents (buffet-style employee) has led to your disobedience. How can you (or ZES be effective in our job, how can we fulfill our purpose, how can we succeed in ministry/business/job if we are in disobedience? Can you hold anyone accountable (subordinates) in the performance of your job if you yourself are in disobedience? Seriously, look at yourself first… establish yourself in obedience to authority, and then and only then can you be effective. Is there a lack of discipline at ZES? Is it profound? Is it destructive? Are you in the follow that supports the lack of discipline, or are you connected to the Spirit of Unity and of Promise? Are you disciplined? If not, are you part of the problem? See to it that you realize that the students come into ZES without discipline and this is the manifestation of their disobedience. Lack of discipline leads to entitlement, selfishness, and ultimately to depression , despair, and finally to the “cover up”… Our response to the originating self sin is to seek comfort (but not from the Holy Spirit). We seek comfort from avoidance, blame shifting, and being the victim… we also seek drugs, sex, over eating, and other physical pleasures (albeit temporary) to avoid dealing with the manifestation of the offense of “lack”. Lack is the lack of faith, lack of effort, lack of truth, lack of love, lack of patience, lack of humility, and ALL these lacks manifest as the LACK OF DISCIPLINE. It looks like laziness, and laziness is simply “self-hatred” (declaring that we are worthless, unnecessary, unimportant, and without merit or meaning). Those who are exercising optimism (a component of Emotional Intelligence ) are those who are trained up in discipline… they are confident, content, strong, humble, thankful, and able to endure, love, and trust… Are you disciplined?1 Corinthians 9:24The Message (MSG)You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally. American Standard Version (ASV) Know ye not that they that run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? Even so run; that ye may attain. And every man that striveth in the games exerciseth self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. Amplified Bible (AMP)Do you not know that in a race all the runners compete, but [only] one receives the prize? So run [your race] that you may lay hold [of the prize] and make it yours. Now every athlete who goes into training conducts himself temperately and restricts himself in all things. They do it to win a wreath that will soon wither, but we [do it to receive a crown of eternal blessedness] that cannot wither.
