Parents Can Prevent Suicide | Troubled Teens & Suicide

Struggling Teens Co takes teen suicide very seriously. We have not had the opportunity to reach troubled teens that have tragically taken their life by committing suicide. A teen that has committed suicide never was given the chance to make it to a place like Strugging Teens Co, which is a boarding school for troubled teenagers. If your rebellious teen is thinking or even talks about suicide don’t give them the chance of succeeding. Teenage suicide is preventable. Our hope and goal is to reach troubled boys and troubled girls who may be struggling with depression and is thinking about harming themselves. We work with the troubled teenagers who are known to be struggling and may not be getting the right help they need. Struggling Teens Co works with early intervention boarding schools for  troubled teens. We can get to the center of the matter right away before your teen can get to the state of mind of committing suicide.  We are ones who teach and preach intervention. Wee deal with many different types of troubled teens, one of the main topics we deal with is the potential depressed teen that is idealizing self-harm. Our hope is to take our training and get it out to the parents of troubled teens. Suicide and Teenagers are and has been a serious problem in the United States today, and it has been getting worse. Every year in the U.S, tens of thousands of troubled teens attempt suicide. However, suicide is the sixth leading cause of death for 5-to-14-year-olds, also being the third leading cause of death for 15-to-24-year-olds. Troubled Teenagers can feel and experience many types of problems, such as stress, confusion, pressure to be successful, confusion, self doubt, financial uncertainty, and other fears of growing up. For some teenagers, divorce, the adjusting to a new family with step-parents and step brothers and sisters, or adjusting to a new community because of a move can be very unsettling and can intensify self doubt. Suicide can be a solution to every problem and stress. Teen Depression and suicidal feelings are are mental disorders and they can be treated. You need to be sure to get your teen help, his or her illness need to be recognized and diagnosed, and the appropriate treatment plans can begin. If you or a loved one is doubting whether or not their child has a serious problem, a psychiatric examination can be and is very helpful. Many signs and symptoms to look for are similar to depression. Parents or guardians should be aware and look for these signs, change in eating habits, withdrawal from usual friends, family, and regular activities frequent complaints about physical symptoms, often related to emotions, such as stomachaches, headaches, fatigue, etc… violent actions, rebellious behavior, or running away Loss of interest in pleasurable activities, not tolerating praise or rewards. Persistent boredom, difficulty concentrating, or a decline in the quality of schoolwork Drug and Alcohol use unusual neglect of personal appearance, marked personality change If you hear your teen say “I’m going to commit suicide”, or “I want to kill myself,” always take these statements or similar statements seriously, you need to get them assistance immediately from anyone who can help. Some people may be uncomfortable when talking about death. But, asking the child or adolescent whether he or she is depressed or thinking about suicide is paramount. Be sure to ask questions so that thoughts will and can be put in the child’s head. Assure them that you care and are willing to give them a chance to talk. At Struggling Teens Co we all want to save and reach as many teens as possible.
