Portrait of A Bully at 5, 15, 30 and 65 Lonely Years Old

Bullying is a problem that is persistent throughout all generations of teenagers. The unfortunate truth is that, for some people, bully tendencies never really go away. Many parents may see their student exhibiting this sort of behavior from an early age, and unless some sort of intervention is taken, bullying behavior becomes normal. Mt. Pleasant Academy is a program that is very helpful in providing the sort of therapy that bullies need. For more information about our program, call today at 866-439-8110.

Bullies Throughout The Years

Bullying behavior can start as early as 5 years old. Aggressive behavior may be overlooked at this age. At 15, bullying becomes more of a problem. Bullies at this age tend to go one of two ways: either they overcome the limitations that cause them to act out or they become comfortable with their role as a bully. At 30, bullying behavior seems normal to them while everyone else around them has moved on. The bullying behavior becomes more “mature”; bullies move on from physical intimidation and violence to more “socially acceptable” bullying, such as mental and emotional intimidation. By the age of 65, the bully has ruined nearly all their relationships with their negative mentality. People who are still bullies by this age tend to be very alone.

Counteracting bullying is something that is most effective when taken on early in life. If you are a parent of a student that you suspect has issues related to anger and bullying, the time is now to find the best way to deal with it. Pay attention to what your kids are trying to tell you through their behavior and how the interact with others.
