PREVENTING SUICIDE FOR TROUBLED TEENS

If you are a parent that has a troubled teen that is threathening sucidial thoughts you should read carefully over these things to help you and your child. Teen suicide is always a scary situation do not take it as a joke or there will be consquences. There are many schools to help your suicidal troubled teen.I recall when I was in high school the pressures and responsibilites, the struggles were over-whelming, and I wish I knew half of what I know now to help get me through a lot of the situations. I struggled constantly with thoughts of suicide the summer before my senior year, besides other things. I had aquaintences who struggled in the same ways as well, and instead of looking for help, I surrounded myself with others who also struggled and were not looking for help. coun·sel·ing The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines counseling as the provision of assistance and guidance in resolving personal, social, or psychological problems and difficulties, especially by a professional. Counseling can come in many different forms. These forms include, but are not limited to, child development, eating disorder, substance abuse, rehabilitation, mental health and educational counseling. The type of counseling needed for an individual depends on the type of issues or problems he/she happens to be facing. Counseling Troubled Youth Counseling offers hope to all kinds of troubled youth. Teens who struggle with personality disorders, emotional trauma, psychological disorders and/or learning disabilities, are all great candidates for counseling. These types of teens are often times, in desperate need for some type of counseling, and if some form of counseling is not achieved, are at high risk of fateful, dire consequences. These consequences may include drug addiction, imprisonment, or in some cases, even death.
sessions I attended and things I have learned through situations.1)Never assume that you are fully capable of helping someone debating suicide. I always had a personality that wanted to help someone I cared about no matter the issue. I left the situation being more emotionally worn out, more depressed, having more suicidal thoughts than before. Even the most experienced people get outside help at times. It keeps you thinking clearly and holds you accountable to a level you normally cannot hold yourself to.2)A threat is a threat. No matter the person or the situation, take the threat seriously. If it is valid, it could save a life, if it’s not, the person joking about the matter will hopefully learn to take the situation more seriously.
